MYCOGEL is the only mycorrhizal gel inoculant, produced under sterile conditions, on the market. It contains different types of propagules of the beneficial fungus Rhizophagus irregularis, which reduces root colonization time, forming beneficial or mycorrhizal associations with roots. The mycorrhizae stimulate the plant´s root growth and increase nutrient uptake, especially of those that are less accessible such as phosphorus.
Once inoculated in the crop, for every centimeter of root, 3 meters of fungus structures emerge, reaching areas where the root, by itself, was not able to access. The mycorrhizae provide improved crop development, aiding the plant in overcoming stress situations or pathogen attacks. MYCOGEL is a global reach Spanish patent of mycorrhizal fungi (Rhizophagus irregularis), formulated under sterile conditions, as a gel for a perfect application via irrigation.
MYCOGEL has the highest concentration of ultrapure mycorrhizae in the market. This product enables better root growth (thanks to fungus hyphae), improving the efficiency of absorbing water and nutrients (especially phosphorus blocked in the soil), ensuring a higher physiological activity and improved production, in quantity and quality.
MYCOGEL has different formulations with natural and eco-compatible mycorrhizal species that are cultivated in vitro. They are selected due to their effectiveness in every crop and application area.
MYCOGEL is the only mycorrhizae in the market formulated :
- As a semi-liquid formulation, ensuring its application via irrigation .
- Certified as free of other microorganisms.
- Produced in vitro as a semi-liquid gel formulation, through a worldwide patented process by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) with ref. WO/2007/014974, Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.
- Quick colonization, only two weeks compared to the four weeks required by the competition’s mycorrhizae. This is possible due to its gel formulation and production in vitro, containing different mycorrhizal active forms and volatile compounds, that are involved in the root-mycorrhizae recognition process.
- Mycorrhizal inoculant based on Rhizophagus irregularis 5×107 propagules/Liter, in a gel formulation.
- The propagules are a set of spores, mycorrhizal roots, and vegetative hyphae found in the mycorrhizal inoculant. They remain viable and active for over a year, thanks to its gel formulation.
- MYCOGEL colonizes the roots faster than the competition, which uses solid technology, thanks to the active forms of mycorrhiza that remain viable and stable in the gel, which in solid formulations, do not survive.
