According to the  Healthy Food Foundation  , the tomato is probably one of the most widespread vegetables in the world and with the most varied uses.

The demand for tomato increases continuously, therefore, so does its cultivation.

This vegetable, which is botanically considered a fruit, is packed with antioxidants and has many other benefits.

It helps reduce cholesterol levels, is rich in fiber, contains vitamins A, B, C and E, and minerals such as potassium, phosphorus and magnesium.

At Agrocode we have numerous experiences in tomato cultivation,

as evidenced in one of the latest trials carried out in industrial tomato cultivation of the Zoco variety, in Pliego, Murcia, in which Mycogel was applied.

Mycogel is a concentrated mycorrhizal inoculant, belonging to Agrocode’s soil probiotics line, bottled as a sterile gel after in vitro production in our laboratory.

The experience was very positive and good results were obtained.

Thanks to the application of our concentrated mycorrhizal inoculant in the tomato cultivar, we managed to increase the average caliber in the four harvests to 80mm, compared to 77.2mm of the control.

The average weight of the fruit increased from 206.1g in the treated plants to 200.5g in the control plants, a significant quality contribution.

As a result,  an increase in total gross income was obtained 16,980.4 €/ha  compared to 14,088.6 €/ha of the control group.

Representing an increase of 21.2%, associated with an improvement in production caused by a greater number of fruits collected per plant, and the increase in the average weight.

Furthermore, 98% of mycorrhized roots were obtained.
