Bombardier
Peach tree
Paranapanema, Brazil
Plants treated with BOMBARDIER had 13% more °Brix, and 6.11% greater fruit hardness, compared to CONTROL plants.
Therefore, BOMBARDIER is moderately effective in increasing yield, and qualitatively intervene in the sugar’s content (° Brix) and fruit strength (fruit pressure). The BOMBARDIER application increased the peach tree’s crop sustainability.

Crop: Peach tree
Planting density: 400 trees/ha
Harvest date: November 2015
Location: Paranapanema, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Trial Design:
- CONTROL, grower standard.
- BOMBARDIER: 10 L/ha, five applications throughout the crop cycle; two at the beginning of blooming (August-2015); and the other 2 during the fruit filling phase(September-October-2015). The applications were done via drench.
- Completely random blocks, 3 repetitions/treatment x 2 treatments = 6 experimental units. To calculate yield, three sequential crops were evaluated. In each plot (experimental unit), four plants were collected to measure the treatments average per harvest. When harvesting, ten random fruits were selected and the fruit quality was evaluated: caliber, hardness and ºBrix.
Analyzed Parameters:
- Total Yield, t/ha
- Soluble solid content, (ºBrix)
- Average fruit diameter, mm
- Fruits hardness, kg/cm2
- Product value (price 0.16 €/kg), €/ha
